With pay-as-you-feel vegan refreshments and drinks served the periphery, on top of seating.

Feeling the effects of overcrowding? Why not sit back and enjoy a cuppa in our Mature Zone? Nab some great free publications, enjoy an attractive array of vegan bakes, and listen in to inspiring cookery demonstrations, and thought-provoking films and presentations. Through popular demand, we have expanded the number of veggie socials, which are the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded souls.
Refreshments served outside the Mature Zone are offered on a 'pay as you feel' basis, and any profits will be used to support the charity's work.
There'll also be plenty of free information to hand about:
Protecting your vegan identity throughout life
VfL's vegan and vegetarian grants
Vegan dinners to your door
Care homes that care
Volunteering opportunities: How to be a friend to your elders.
Talks and workshops will run from 12pm on Saturday and 11am on Sunday.

V for Life’s film shorts draw attention to two serious questions that concern older vegans and vegetarians. Will my lifestyle and beliefs be understood and respected in a care environment? And if I get dementia, will they serve me meat? We urge you to get informed – if you aren’t already – about these important issues. One day, there will be clear policies and regulations about how to support older vegans and vegetarians. V for Life is trying to make that day come sooner.

Have you ever heard of a vegan with dementia being served meat while in care?
At V for Life, we feel that beliefs should be respected, whether religious or philosophical in nature. Should you experience any capacity issues, or cognitive losses, your vegan beliefs should be protected then, too. So, we are taking this issue to Parliament – but we need your evidence.
This autumn, V for Life is launching an inquiry through the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Vegetarianism and Veganism. The inquiry will investigate cases of individuals being fed in a way that contradicts their beliefs when they have capacity issues or cognitive losses. Learn about how to get involved, make change, and advocate for your rights.
