Kids Theatre and Storytelling at VegfestUK London 2019
31st July 2019Families with kids will enjoy the new Kids Theatre and Storytelling area at this years VegfestUK London on October 26 and 27.
Situated on Level 2 of Olympia Central, the Kids Theatre and Storytelling area welcomes a number of book readings featuring a variety of children’s books in relation to the vegan way of life from Vegan Publishers, Boston-based publishing company with a variety of books dedicated to various aspects of veganism for both adults and kids.
The book readings will take place alongside a selection of marvellously interactive vegetable entertainment by kids entertainer Madame Zucchini, including vegetable creature making activities, vegetable theatre and veg-costumed walkabout – perfect for children and even grown-ups.
Kids Cookery Classes
In addition, the little ones get the chance to create their own plant-based foods and smoothies, under the guidance of kids entertainers Captain James Tea Cook on Saturday and The Mad hatter on Sunday. Located on Level 3 of Olympia Central, these sessions include healthy cooking workshops, games, songs and a little magic.
More activities for families
The eco-conscious will not want to miss the VGN Climate Change Summit, where a number of environmental issues will be discussed from the point of view of avoiding the use of animals.
Kids will enjoy the Sanctuaries Fair, which not only provides a number of fairground games but also addresses important topics of animal protection, whilst raising money for a number of sanctuaries.
Moreover, this year sees the return of the Rainbow Yoga feature which focuses on yoga and relaxation for families with kids.

This eagerly anticipated event also includes 320 stalls packed with the latest vegan products, a Vegan Food Village with 25 caterers, a New Vegan Support area for beginners to veganism, a Foodies Stage with live music, the Art of Compassion Exhibition, two Fitness areas, a Holistic Health Hub, Cookery Demos, talks on Plant Based Health, a Natural Therapy Zone, Lifestyle presentations, a Yoga Zone, talks on Veganic Growing, a Mature Zone, plus talks on Animal Rights and Activism, Vegan Activists Support, VGN and Movement Building.
